Leaving a country that you’ve loved and lived in for a number of years is always tough. Joshua Lee studied Pharmacy and worked in the industry for a few years in Melbourne. When he decided to move to Hongkong, Joshua asked me to take photographs of him around the city of Melbourne.
The day was rather gloomy. We chose Flinder’s Hosier Lane for the shoot. Hosier Lane is the little alley more commonly known as the graffiti lane. Josh’s monotone outfit contrasted well with the colourful background!

Jane & Sam got married in November 2008. Since they were on a rather tight budget, it was only natural that they asked Jane’s bridesmaid to do their engagement photoshoot. Oh, and that bridesmaid happened to be me!
They chose Brighton Beach as the location – always a great place to shoot in Melbourne. It was in the middle of winter, but that wasn’t such a bad idea, as it only means that we had the whole beach to ourselves! After a couple of warm-up photos by the park, we walked towards the famous beach houses; and the fun began…
