Cecilia & Jeromy’s Wedding Day: Preparation & Decoration
I love it when couples enjoyed every moment of their big day. Cecilia & Jeromy had a blast during their wedding, and whilst I wasn’t the official photographer for the day, I too enjoyed taking some beautiful photographs.
Getting ready for your wedding is a huge event in itself, from having your make up & hair done, to getting dressed in your perfect gown, to spending some quality time with your bridesmaids. In Cecilia’s case, her 2 bridesmaids flew over to Melbourne from 2 different countries. So whilst Cecilia was preparing herself in the morning before her ceremony, she asked me to photograph the process of her getting ready – and I was more than happy to do so…

Cecilia & Jeromy had a beautiful church wedding in the afternoon (location: CrossCulture Church of Christ) and an elegant dinner to end the night. I couldn’t help but to photograph some of the lovely decorations and little personal touches on the day. Hopefully this can be an inspiration for some of you who are planning for your own wedding! :)

Fun facts: Jeromy & Cecilia’s big day started with a Hongkong-style tradition, where the groom and his men visited the bride’s house, only to be greeted by her girlfriends. The idea was to test his worthiness to take the bride’s hands in marriage. Finally, after some embarrassing games, a re-enactment of the proposal, and a love song dedication, Jeromy was “deemed worthy” to be with his bride. It was my first time experiencing this tradition, and it was indeed a unique one!
